Full Disclosure

Transparent HAC information for enterprise customers

Legal Entity

Flanon Inc.

Service Name

TitanSim

Flanon Inc., provider of the TitanSim service, provides this information concerning Hearing Aid Compatibility ("HAC") in accordance with Federal Communications Commission ("FCC") regulations, including 47 C.F.R. § 20.19.

1. Service Model and Applicability

The TitanSim service is a reseller of data-only Commercial Mobile Radio Service (CMRS) and operates exclusively on a "Bring Your Own Device" (BYOD) model, providing enterprise eSIM connectivity to business customers and their team members.

Important Notice

Flanon Inc. does not manufacture, sell, lease, or distribute any wireless handsets or devices. Our service consists of a data-only eSIM (embedded Subscriber Identity Module) profile provided to enterprise customers for use on their team members' own compatible, unlocked devices.

2. HAC Compliance & Device Manufacturer Responsibility

Pursuant to FCC rules, HAC requirements apply to wireless handsets. The HAC rating of a device is determined by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and is specific to the handset itself, not the data service it uses.

Manufacturer Responsibility:

Because Flanon Inc. does not provide any handsets, we do not have a portfolio of HAC-compliant devices. The compliance of any device used with the TitanSim service is the sole responsibility of the device manufacturer and the end-user. Enterprise customers should verify HAC compatibility of devices used by their team members.

3. Understanding HAC Ratings for Your Team's Devices

Team members intending to use the TitanSim service should ascertain the HAC rating of their specific device. FCC rules define two compatibility ratings:

M-Rating

Refers to compatibility for acoustic coupling (microphone mode).

A rating of M3 or M4 meets FCC requirements.

T-Rating

Refers to compatibility for inductive coupling (telecoil mode).

A rating of T3 or T4 meets FCC requirements.

Where to Find HAC Ratings:

This information can typically be found on:

  • The device's original packaging
  • The user manual or documentation
  • The manufacturer's official website (e.g., Apple, Samsung, Google)
